Chairman RIMT group of institutions, Hukam Chand Bansal inaugurated the workshop and exhibition on robotics and launched aeromodelling club. While addressing students and staff he said that aeromodelling club will comprise of group of engineering students into building small models of planes and gliders which are used to explain science behind flight and forces of flight etc. He added that college will support and fund the students to develop more models and gain expertise in the field of aerodynamics.
Guest speaker Tejinder Devgon from Sbtronics said that aeromodelling is the science of building model planes which can fly using a remote control. The model planes are designed by using all the basics of aeronautics. Flying models are usually what is meant by the term aeromodelling and it is the art of designing, building and flying miniaturized aircrafts (powered or non-powered).
He said that at the end of an academic year the club is expected to display its models and it is expected that the performance of the institute at inter college events of aero modeling will increase and improve tremendously.
Sahijbir Singh, Sakshi Rana and Amarveer Judge from Sbtronics also spoke on the occasion. Principal RIMT-Maharaja Agrasen Engg. College (MAEC) Dr. Pritpal Singh and Director Dr. D.S.Taneja was also present on the occasion.
