Rana had deserted SAD in black days of terrorism but after 18 years he rejoined

Rana Singh, who was a senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader, deserted the party in black days of terrorism in 1992 and joined Congress but after 18 years he rejoined SAD with his 300 supporters during a function held at village Rajindergarh
. The function was presided over by Sirhind MLA Didar Singh Bhatti.

In his address Rana said that he was working sincerely with SAD before 1992. He said Patiala police raided his house and leveled baseless allegations that he was harbouring militants.
